Thats what I thought at first. Theres a lot more polygons per model now. Also Bungie stated that they had to turn off a lot of the effects for the screenshots. Why, I do not know.

yea, that's 'code' for 'These are Halo 2 screenshots advertised as Halo 3 so that fools on the Internet wet themselves at the thought of Halo 3 coming out even though Halo 2 was absolute shit.'

It's early stages, so a lot will change by then. I do agree with you though when you said Halo 2 is shit. I hope this one is more like the first one.
